Announcing PENC's new Board Members & Staff!

Regional Board Representatives play an integral role in our organization because they are in the field sharing the benefits of PENC with colleagues and providing feedback to PENC Staff and fellow Board members on critical education issues within our state. Serving as a PENC Board member is a way to be a Teacher Leader at the state level while serving as a voice for your colleagues both statewide and regionally.

On April 21, 2018 at the PENC Annual Meeting, we elected new Board Members to serve as Secretary, Treasurer and Representatives for Regions 2, 4, 6, 8 and At-Large. We are very excited to announce our new and re-elected Board Members:

PENC Secretary - Tony Coggins

PENC Treasurer - Dawn Henline

Region 2 Representative - Amy Lambe

Region 4 Representative - Robert Jones

Region 6 Representative - Joanna Loftis

Region 8 Representative - Emily Gill

At-Large Representative - Peter Bobbe

We would also like to introduce our new Director of Communications, Sha Hewett!

We are thrilled to welcome all of our new Board and Staff members and know they look forward to connecting with you in future endeavors.

PENC (Professional Educators of North Carolina), a professional association that serves as THE Voice for educators in policy-making, the forum for developing professional relationships and the advocate for improving the learning environment for every educator and student, is currently accepting electronic entries for its 9th annual Young Artists Competition. The goal of this project is to highlight the hard work of North Carolina’s teachers and their students.
